Terms of Service

lema is in early access and under active development. Features may change, and access to beta or preview features may be limited or withdrawn. Your use of any paid plan is governed by the Billing and subscriptions section below.

You agree not to use lema to store unlawful content, circumvent access controls, or attempt to compromise system security. You are responsible for the content you create within your workspaces.

lema offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. The fee, the billing interval, and what each plan includes are shown at the point of purchase before you confirm. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method on the terms below.

• Auto-renewal. Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly unless stated otherwise — at the then-current rate, until you cancel.
• Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the Billing page in your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your plan stays active through the end of the period you have already paid for, then reverts to the free tier.
• Refunds. Payments are non-refundable and we do not pro-rate partial billing periods or unused capacity, except where required by law. Cancelling before a renewal is how you avoid the next charge.
• No free trial. Paid plans do not include a free trial unless one is explicitly offered at checkout. The free tier remains available at no cost.
• Failed and past-due payments. If a charge fails, we may retry it and may suspend or downgrade paid features until payment succeeds. Your data is retained on the free tier while a plan is suspended.
• Price changes. We may change plan prices or what a plan includes. We will give notice by email before a change affects your renewal; continuing to use a paid plan after the change takes effect is acceptance of the new price.
• Taxes. Prices are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any applicable sales, use, or value-added taxes.
• Payment processing.Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details. Stripe's terms and privacy policy also apply to those transactions.

Content you create in lema remains yours. The lema platform, including its format specification and public packages, is licensed under the terms in our GitHub repository. The format specification (@lema/format) is MIT-licensed.

We provide no uptime guarantee during Phase 0. The service may be interrupted for maintenance or modified without notice.

lema is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of lema after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated to active users by email.
